Technical assistance to Director of the Hydrogeology and Water Economy Problems Laboratory of Kyrghyz Scientific and Scientific and Research Institute of Irrigation, the Republic of Kyrghyz. Contributed to proposal for Evaluation of measures to mitigate ground-water flooding in Bishkek region of Kyrgyzstan, Civilian Research & Development Foundation (6/2008), June, 2008.

Technical assistance to Director of  the Seismic Monitoring Center and Ministry for Education and Science, the Republic of Georgia. Contributed to proposal for Numerical modeling of Geothermal Deposits for Creation of an Energy Efficient System, submitted to Science and Technology Center in Ukraine, February, 2008.

Technical assistance to Commissioner of the European Commission (EC) responsible for the EU Mine Waste Directive implementation and Inventory Task Group members (from the 25 EU countries). Provided written input on state of the art approach being used in the U.S., November, 2007. 

Technical assistance to Geological Survey of Finland. Participated in field trips to new and existing mines, review of hydrologic and geochemical data, and discussions to establish collaborative multicomponent reactive transport studies at existing and future sites, Kuopio, Finland, September 17-October 5, 2007.

Technical assistance to Geological Survey of Finland. Participated as hydrologic expert in discussions and workshop on mining environments and their potential impacts and risk assessment, Kuopio, Finland, February 5-8, 2007.

Technical assistance to Government of El Salvador. Participated in discussions on water policy including use and rights; San Salvador, El Salvador, August, 2006.

Technical assistance to Government of Mauritania. Participated as hydrologic expert in discussions and workshop on conducting national mineral assessments, Nouakchott, Mauritania, May, 2006.

Technical assistance to Government of Romania. Participated as hydrologic expert in discussions and workshop on mining effects and water resource quality; Bucharest, Romania, January, 2006.

Technical assistance to Government of Haiti. Participated as hydrologic expert in discussions and devising of a flood warning system based modeling of ungauged basins; Port au Prince, Haiti, 2006.

Technical assistance to U.S. State Department, part of Middle East Peace Process. Developed and presented course, Variably-saturated zone hydrology: experimental design, data collection, and modeling, to 18 scientists from 6 different ministries in the strife-ridden areas of the Middle East (Israel, Jordan, and Palestine); Budapest, Hungary, September 13-24, 2005.
